YOU BELONG HERE

Hi there! Is this your first time here? Maybe the first time in a while? Maybe you’re wondering who we are and what Castleton is all about? Well, we’re a group of ordinary people, who are on amazing journey, together, following Christ. Our guide is the Bible, and we know it will never lead us in the wrong direction, because it’s the divinely-inspired Word of God. We hope you’ll see we are welcoming and spirtually-passionate, and that getting to know YOU is a big deal to US. We want you to know we care about this community and we believe it’s our job to make it a better place. So…no matter who you are or where you’ve been…welcome to Castleton!

We’re so glad that you decided to check out our website and see what Castleton is all about! Here at Castleton, we are all about loving God, loving others, and following Jesus! We’d love for you to join us Sundays at 10:00AM as we worship together. You can even show up at 9:30AM and have some breakfast and coffee in the G.P. (Gathering Place). However, if you can’t make it, you can always stream our service live on Facebook starting at 9:55AM. We can’t wait to see you!

ear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
I am writing you this message to appeal to you, to appeal to your Christian love and generosity. Let me explain. I am a Deacon at the Church of Christ in Martin, KY. I have been a Deacon there for over 30 years and I am concerned about our future. Our little town of Martin has suffered many hardships throughout the years, specifically by way of flooding. The government finally decided to do something about it so they are in the process of restructuring our community. Because of this restructuring, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has forced us to sell our property to them. While they did pay us for our property, it is not quite enough for us to rebuild. Their “fair market value” does not meet the funds that we need to rebuild.
Thankfully, we have been able to buy property on which to rebuild and we are in the process of doing so. I appeal to you because that process takes money we just do not have. We are going to fall far short of what we need and I do not see us being able to move into a new location in a timely manner. At this time, they have given us until July 21, 2020 to move out.
I do not want to make this letter too long so I will get to the point. WE NEED YOUR HELP! I ask that you, first of all, pray for and about our dilemma, and secondly, I humbly ask for your financial assistance. Any amount would be appreciated, accepted and used in accordance with God’s will. Please find it in your hearts to help us with our financial struggles as we go forth.
The Martin Church of Christ has been in the same location for over 84 years and it will be a sad day when we have to move and even sadder when its walls are torn down and destroyed by the government’s equipment. Thankfully, the true Church is the people and with your generous help with prayers and funds, we can rebuild and move to our new location soon. You can make checks payable to the Martin Church of Christ Building Fund and mail them to PO Box 724 Martin, KY 41649.
I understand that during this time of COVID-19 that many congregations have not been meeting and perhaps your finances have been strained, but I ask if you can still help, we will truly appreciate it. Even though this world is currently going through tough times, we are stuck in the middle of our building project and we are still in dire need of assistance.
I am sending this message on behalf of the leaders of the Martin Church of Christ:
    Gary Mitchell, Minister
Norman Bailey, Monty Branham, Jerry Rice, Joseph Mullins, and myself Phillip McKenzie (606) 264-2861
Feel free to contact me for any more information.
    Thank you and God Bless.
